Why this blog is important

I am prone to embarrassment as much as the next person, but on this point there is no room for it. I have created this blog so that women have a place to find advice for and answers about what to expect in terms of hormones, physical symptoms, moods and things like energy levels and peaks and ebbs and how to deal with such.

This subject is quite hush hush and I really feel that there needs to be a forum for all women and even the men who relate to them, to be able to discuss this phenomenon which I don’t think would be such an issue if it was more of an open book. This is also not a forum for judgement, it’s a place for sharing in an effort to help and nurture our fellow human beings.

So I’ve started this blog, which I want everyone who has been affected by this or needs advice on this subject to contribute to (anonymously if you like). I have started it off with my journey, so that you can respond to that or add your own story. The point is that everyone has a different experience and therefore there are so many different aspects to this time of life and if you contribute here you can help other women to have a smooth transition just by relaying events that you experienced and maybe helpful advice about how you may have improved your journey.

So here is my story - I am by no means asking anyone to feel sorry for me – I don’t. The info above may seem confronting, but it’s true and hopefully will inspire others to share their stories, which may help someone like me who has had difficulty finding quality information on this subject. What better quality information than first hand stories from real people?
